KNOU Signs MOU with National Open and Distance University of Colombia (UNAD)

Korea National Open University (KNOU) and the National Open and Distance University of Colombia (UNAD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at KNOU headquarters on August 18.


The signing ceremony was attended by Song Hwan Ko, President of KNOU; Byeong Rae Lee, Vice President; Yun Kyoung Choi, Dean of Office of Academic Affairs; Jae Hyung Kim, Dean of the Office of International Affairs; and Chang Yeul Yang, Team Head of the Office of International Affairs from KNOU. From UNAD, participants included Jaime Alberto Leal Afanador, Rector; Leonardo Evemeleth Sánchez Torres, Vice Chancellor for Inter-systemic and International Relations; Leonardo Emilio Yunda Perlaza, Vice Chancellor for Media and Pedagogical Mediations; Andrés Ernesto Salinas Duarte, Vice Chancellor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship; and Aquiles Alejandro Iturriaga Alfaro, Advisor to the Rector. Representatives from the Colombian Embassy in Korea, including H.E. Alejandro Peláez Rodríguez, Ambassador, and Andrés Leonardo Rincón Barahona, First Secretary, were also present.

 

The MOU aims to promote collaboration between KNOU and UNAD in various areas, including student and faculty exchange, academic research, joint academic events, and the collaborative development and sharing of educational resources and content. This agreement will facilitate the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and best practices between the two institutions.


President Song Hwan Ko expressed his commitment to making the partnership a success, stating, “Through this MOU with UNAD, the two institutions will do their best to achieve meaningful outcomes and strengthen collaboration between our two sister nations.”
